Brown Ferry Slaughter - this story is of William Penn Brown who lived just above what is now Hartwell Dam and the slaughter of 3 union soldiers after the Civil War.  William Penn Brown lived between Pollard Brown in Abbyville, and his brother Robert Brown in Habersham County and while there is no proven link yet, he might have been related.
